Memorial Day weekend is right around the corner and San Diego restaurants know how to get the party started! From parades to a pig roast, we found the best spots to hit up over the long weekend. PB’s newest beach bar and club will be the place to be this Memorial Day, as they’ve got quite the lineup of fun planned for the upcoming three-day weekend. On Sunday, May 27th, Mavericks will be hosting their first official Summer Block Party with barbecue, games, tasty drinks and so much more. Swing by between 12:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. to kick off summer the right way with Mavericks!

Enjoy one extra day of brunching on Memorial Day weekend at this Gaslamp District favorite on Monday, May 28th. Brunch begins at 10:30 a.m. where weekend warriors can indulge in a variety of barley hashes, a mouthwatering breakfast burger or the Sin-A-Bun, a colossal housemade cinnamon roll topped with brown-butter cream cheese and chocolate hazelnut sauce. Barleymash’s Skyy Vodka Bloody Bar, where you can build your own Bloody Mary, will help ease the party after-effects of the weekend.

Park 101

If you’re looking for Memorial Weekend non-stop fun, look no further than Park 101! On Friday, May 25th the family-friendly spot will be hosting an Aloha Friday Summer Kick Off Luau with island food and drink specials, a pig roast, and a Polynesian dance and fire knife show all starting at 2:00 p.m. Stop in for brunch on Sunday where $29.95 gets you a plate and boozy bottomless deal where you can drink mimosas to your hearts content. Cap the weekend off with Park 101’s weekly seafood boil starting at 2:00 p.m.

Miss B’s Coconut Club

Escape to the Coconut Club this Memorial Day Weekend and enjoy Caribbean-inspired bites and tropical cocktails, including a blended Pina Colada served straight from a cored pineapple. Soak up the sun all weekend long on Miss B’s outdoor patio, steps from the beach. On Friday, sip on $5 Rosé all day, and stop by for $1 freshly shucked oysters from 5:00 p.m. to sell out. The Haven Pizzeria

This quaint neighborhood spot will be opening their garage-style windows and serving up food and drinks during the Annual Kensington Memorial Day Parade, on Monday, May 28th. Refuel with one of San Diego’s best Neapolitan pizzas or quench your thirst with one of the beers available on tap.

Maryland Blue Crab Feast

East Coast transplants and crab-connoisseurs rejoice! Beerfish is flying in bushels of the best to the west: Maryland blue crab. On Sunday, May 27th, from 1:00 – 3:00 pm, get your hands on as many of these sweet delicacies as you can handle with an All-You-Can-Eat Blue Crab Feast. This special event requires purchasing a ticket at least 10 days prior to ensure the freshest catch, so crab-cravers don’t delay. Heaps of blue crab will be served alongside salad, garlic bread and all the crab condiments. Tickets are available in limited quantity for $65 (plus service fee and gratuity) here.

Hundred Proof + You & Yours

Hundred Proof is hosting a Memorial Day collaboration brunch with You & Yours Distilling.  From 10am-3pm on Monday, May 28, guests can enjoy $7 specialty brunch cocktails featuring You & Yours signature spirits and brunch dishes by acclaimed Chef Brad Wise, co-owner and Executive Chef of Trust Restaurant and Hundred Proof. Memorial Day Weekend Fiesta & Pig Roast at Level Four Pool Deck + Lounge

Kicking off summer pool season at Level Four is a rooftop Pig Roast hosted by Curadero. Executive Chef Brad Kraten is preparing a Mexican-style pig roast at Level Four, the Rooftop Pool Deck + Lounge on Hotel Palomar’s 4th floor. The party starts on Saturday, May 26 at 1pm. Ticketholders will get a welcome drink to enjoy while noshing on all you can eat carnitas with all the taco fixings and rice and beans. Hiatus Pool Lounge 

Escape the hustle and bustle this summer at Hiatus Lounge. The lush pool lounge at Hotel La Jolla is open to the public starting Memorial Day weekend. Guests can lay poolside and enjoy a full lunch menu from the kitchen of Cusp Dining & Drinks, as well as a Happy Hour menu from 4-7pm daily. On Saturday nights, head to Hiatus and cozy up to one of the firepits with a glass of wine, to watch complimentary classic movies. Starting at 7:30pm, guests can enjoy popcorn with house salts, sugars and spices, as well as a small bites menu featuring drinks and s’mores.

Searsucker Gaslamp

If you are thinking of brunchin’ this holiday weekend, head to the Gaslamp’s Searsucker San Diego while the restaurant’s extending/serving up its fan favorite brunch menu on Monday, May 28th in honor of Memorial Day.
