Where to Watch Football in San Diego This Season

As summer comes to an end, there’s a sense of anticipation that sweeps through every city as football enthusiasts prep their game plans for one of the most thrilling times of the year – football season! While San Diego no longer has a team to call its own, the city’s vibrant sports culture is here to stay with various bars and restaurants providing the ideal setting to watch every touchdown, tackle and interception. From kickoff to the final whistle, these spots will make this NFL season the best yet.

Draft at Belmont Park

Game time is a great time at Belmont Park’s signature sports bar, Draft, with football and ocean views! Featuring their iconic 31-foot LED screen TV, Draft is the perfect spot to catch the game with friends and cheer on your favorite team. Plus, they’ll be serving up happy hour specials during game time, so relax and enjoy savings on appetizers and select drinks. Savor American hand-crafted faire, like the uber-popular Draft Dirty Double Dipper Burger made with two 4oz Brandt beef patties, caramelized onion, lettuce, pickle, tomato, cheddar cheese and “draft sauce” on a brioche bun, and pair it with one of over 70 local brews on tap, or try the refreshing Midway Margarita with ghost pepper tequila, blanco tequila, triple sec, guava, and lime.

Moonshine Beach

Moonshine Beach invites Niners Nation and all football fans to join the NFL excitement as they gear up for an action-packed season. All 49ers games will be broadcasted on the 33-foot (higher than the length of an endzone) indoor LED screen or 10-foot LED outdoor screen at Munchies, right next door to Moonshine Beach. Everyone who attends the first game in Niner’s merch will be given loyalty cards, allowing fans to enter the venue 30 minutes before the public, and 20% off non-discounted items. On game days, the front patio and newly added outdoor food court, Munchies Food Club, will open at 9am, and Moonshine Beach will open one hour before kickoff. Drink deals include Beer Buckets of 5 Bud Light Beers ($32), 5 Budweiser’s ($32), 5 June Shine’s ($35) or 5 Big Wave’s ($35). In addition, Moonshine will be offering $8 Titos, $8 Jack Daniel’s, $8 El Jimador and $2 Fireball shots at Halftime.

The Deck at Moonshine Flats

The Deck at Moonshine Flats is San Diego’s go-to game day spot for Chargers fans. Indulge in The Deck’s football menu which will feature special game-day bites and shareable baskets available throughout the season. Fans can enjoy an immersive experience on the 165” LCD Video Wall which will broadcast every Chargers game with sound in addition to Thursday, Sunday and Monday night games. Fans can also enjoy a selection of drink specials and buckets including $35 Buena Cerveza Bucket (6), $35 Coors Light Bucket (6), $40 Topo Chico Seltzer Buckets (5), $40 Juneshine Kombucha Buckets (5) and more.  In addition, each time the Chargers score, a $5 Charger Shot Special will be available. Have fun with raffle prizes throughout the season, 16 TV screens throughout the venue, a live DJ, selection of games like pool, giant beer pong, video games and ring toss.

Happy Does

There’s a new Jets bar in town! Happy Does, Gaslamp’s retro indoor-outdoor bar is excited to host the Official Jets Fan Group in San Diego and invites all New York Jets aficionados to come together and cheer for their team this season! Indulge in a lineup of drink specials bound to make every game day unforgettable including $7 Jack Daniels, Tito’s and Hooch, 5 for $30 Bud Light Beers, Mich Ultra and Buena Cerveza and 5 for $35 Topo Chico Seltzers. Not only will Happy Does broadcast every Jets game, but during halftime and after the game fans can enjoy various backyard games, and live music from resident DJ, DJ Legend

Nason’s Beer Hall at Pendry San Diego

Located in the heart of downtown, Nason’s Beer Hall at Pendry San Diego is the perfect stop for sports fans looking to cheer on their favorite team. The corner bar features 23 big screen TV’s to broadcast all the best games, 24 craft beers on tap, delectable bar bites including animal style tots and nachos, a variety of bar games – from corn hole to foosball – and open windows looking out toward San Diego’s bustling Gaslamp Quarter.

The Smoking Gun

The Smoking Gun, in the Gaslamp, is taking football up a notch this season, with fun new games and a tasty, brand-new weekend brunch menu! Stop in for Bone(s) Nugz-n-Harmony All-You-Can-Eat wing and nuggets Thursday special and try your hand at Football Bingo on Monday nights.  PRK 101

Kick off football season at Carlsbad’s PRK 101, offering exclusive Football drink specials for all NCAA and NFL games this season.
