Who has San Diego's Best IPA?

Top San Diego craft breweries competed for the town’s best IPA in the Pacific Beach Beachfest Inaugural Beer Cup!

 

Discover Pacific Beach and Westcoaster SD kicked off the festivities for Pacific Beachfest with an exclusive beer competition for San Diego Craft breweries on September 30th. This BEST IN SHOW competition featured celebrity judges, awards for Judges Choice and a Peoples Choice Award. Each brewery showcased their finest West Coast IPA.    

Guest Judges include: Mike Shess (Westcoaster SD), Edwin Real (Eating and Drinking SD) and Brandon Hernández (San Diego Craft Beer Writer).

 And the winner is…. Amplified Ale Works! Amplified Kitchen & Beer Garden opened in Pacific beach in 2012 with the goal of creating a community-centric gathering place for people to eat, drink, and enjoy ocean views while sharing outdoor picnic tables. Four years later, the concept stays true to this ethos while also evolving our focus on scratch Mediterranean-style food to also include an expanding brewing operation that now primarily takes place at a newly built facility and tasting room in the Miramar area of San Diego.
