Where to Spend Valentine’s Day if You’re Single in San Diego

Grab your gals for a beachside Galentine’s Day at Pacific Beach Shore Club, on Thursday, February 13th. The beach bar will host Silent Movie Night featuring favorite flicks “The Notebook” and “Bridesmaids” Attendees will be provided headphones and be given the option to watch one of two films, or both! There will also be a $100 Lululemon gift card raffle.

Join the party at barleymash this Valentine’s Day. The downtown bar and eatery will host an exclusive Glow in the Dark Stoplight Party. Guests who are single and ready to mingle will receive a green or yellow glow in the dark bracelet, and those who are happily taken will receive a red bracelet. If you’re wearing a green or yellow bracelet, be prepared to receive a wristband to give out to your prospective crush during the night. The party starts at 10 p.m. and will include specialty drinks.

Start your search for love a day early at ginger’s. Located directly below barleymash, the martini lounge will host a night of Speed Dating in honor of Valentine’s Day, on February 13th. The sultry lounge will feature specialty martinis, live music and the chance to meet your future soul mate.

No date this Valentine’s Day? No problem! Mavericks Beach Club is hosting their 2nd annual I’d Rather Date My Dog event, on Friday February 14th. From 4 p.m. – 6 p.m., enjoy specialty cocktails, snap cute photos of you and your pooch in the Doggy Photo Booth and play in the off-leash pop-up Dog Park. There will also be a “Best Dressed Couple” competition, so come dressed up with your furry friend for a chance to win!

Meet your match at The Smoking Gun’s Single’s Night on the loveliest day of the year, Valentine’s Day. Love will be in the air for this event, which takes place from 9:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m. Whether you come stag or show up with a group of friends, partake in themed games and activities and sip on libations from a specialty drink menu, made with Uncle Ed’s Damn Good Vodka. You never know who you might meet!

On February 13, Nason’s Beer Hall is partnering with Bumble for a pre-Valentine’s Day event from 7-10pm — Swipe Right for a Valentine. Single gals and guys are encouraged to come with friends to enjoy a DJ at Nason’s, Bumble photo booth, and fun activations to “find your match” such as conversation starter cards, astrology badges to match by your sign, and more. Whether you’re single, coupled up or somewhere in between, The San Diego Museum of Art is hosting the pre-Valentine’s Day edition of Culture & Cocktails, themed Flight of Love after the exhibition Bouguereau & America. The popular after-hours event returns on Thursday, February 13th from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Find love by touring the Museum’s galleries with a special stop to view paintings of Cupid, his arrows and his escapades portrayed in the Bouguereau & America exhibition. Make your own paper corsages and boutonnieres, then strike your best Cupid pose in the rose petal photobooth. Enjoy the evening’s signature drink, “Dream of Spring” made with Suerte Tequila and nibble on waffle dessert bites by Molten Waffles, Crepes & More. DJ Gabe Vega will be spinning a sundown set, so grab a date or a friend to dance the night away.
