St. Patrick’s Day Food and Drinks Around San Diego

As restaurants and bars around town are preparing to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with all the lads and lasses, we wanted to ensure you had all the info. about a few lucky food and beverage offerings that will shamrock your socks off on Tuesday, March 17.

Let marching bands and the Irish jig be the pep in your step as you enter The Corner Drafthouse. The St. Patrick’s Day Parade lands on March 14th, but this Banker’s Hill gastropub is pouring out four days of celebration from March 13th to March 17th. Walking distance from the annual St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festival in Balboa Park, it’s the perfect place to rally the troops for a weekend of eating corned beef, drinking Jameson and dancing a jig. Grab your green and celebrate the Irish way as you taste your way through their selection of 70 beers on tap, including Guinness and Harp, and indulge in corned beef sliders and tacos prepared by Executive Chef Ruben Zamarripa.

Theatre Box’s Sugar Factory American Brasseriewill be your lucky charm this St. Patrick’s Day with all-green Sliders made with Angus beef patties, American cheese, pickles, crispy onions and signature sauce served on green house-made buns, available for $22; and $4 Heineken beers.

Find the St. Paddy’s Sour at Primavera RistoranteThe celebratory cocktail is made with Jameson Irish whiskey, lime juice, lemon juice and simple syrup, garnished with a lime wheel and mint spring.

Find yourself in luck as you sip on golden suds near Highway 101 at Bier Garden of Encinitas. They’re mixing up the beach town atmosphere with a bit of Irish culture.Enjoy a selection of 32 draft beers on tap to keep the pours flowing from day to night.

To celebrate St. Patrick’s Day, Prohibition will offer three Irish cocktails made with Proper Twelve Whisky and will offer “proper pours” of Proper Twelve Whisky for $10. Guests may choose between (or try all) What the Fook, made with banana oleo-saccharum and R&D house bitters; Penicillin #4, made with ginger, honey, citric acid and R&D smoked bitters; and Fear of the Dark, made with cold brew coffee, orgeat and R&D sarsaparilla bitters.
