June 2 is National Donut Day

National Donut Day is coming up on June 2nd, check out these San Diego “sweet spots” for your donut fix!  Be the office hero and grab a “devil’s dozen” at Little Italy’s own Devil’s Dozen Donut Shop. Pastry Chef Paula Alvarez will be celebrating the fun holiday by debuting fun, festive flavors in addition to the shop’s elevated classics like cinnamon sugar and vanilla bean made with the highest quality ingredients. Any order will come with a free mini donut with donut pool floaties given out to the first twenty customers and Devil’s Dozen t-shirts given away randomly.

Located at Rancho Bernardo Inn in picturesque North County, AVANT offers guests an opportunity to indulge in National Donut Day with AVANT’s signature after-dinner treat — cinnamon and sugar donut bites paired with Bailey’s ice-cream, and topped with espresso foam.  Love donuts and French toast, but don’t want to choose between the two? Breakfast Republic is giving fans the chance to vote to bring this special dish to the menu for the entire month of June. Be sure to head to their social media pages to vote for the Donut French Toast, covered in a berry glaze and rainbow sprinkles, of course! Voting will be taking place May 22 – May 29, so if you’d like to dig into this donut-inspired dish on National Donut Day, be sure to vote!  Bellamy’s is ready to celebrate with their housemade Beignets. A French spin on the average doughnut, these fried dough delicacies are dusted with powdered sugar, and served with strawberry jam and chocolate sauce for a sweet and dreamy flavor combination idyllic for doughnut fanatics and foodies alike.
