October 26, 27, 31 – Rooftop Cinema Club 

Take it to the top this Halloween at Rooftop Cinema Club at the Manchester Grand Hyatt, a one-of-a-kind movie-going experience set atop the hotel underneath and among the stars, offering stunning views of the city from every angle imaginable. An awesome line-up with favorite Halloween movies will run through Oct. 31, including Beetlejuice on Oct. 26, Hocus Pocus on Oct. 27 and Halloween on Oct. 31. Sit back and relax in a comfy single deck-chair and cozy blanket, coupled with a brew or wine, popcorn, or elevated movie fare like poke nachos ($13) or carne asada nachos ($12). Tickets start at $17.

October 27  – WCKD Village 
After 19 years of thrilling festivals, Monster Halloween Bash is getting a WCKD twist. On the night of Saturday, October 27th, from 6 pm to Midnight, six blocks in the East Village will transform right before your eyes as the WCKD Village Halloween Party comes to life. For one night only, sink your teeth into a supernatural experience at the WCKD Village. Shaping up to set a new standard in the events industry, WCKD Village boasts enhanced festival grounds, amazing talent across four stages, and unbeatable upgraded activations far beyond your basic block party. Bringing you a realm combined of the past, the present and the future, no matter which way you wander, only the Village can decide your fate. Top DJs known around the world will be in attendance this year including: Cheat Codes, Michael Calfan, Young Bombs, Sinden, Cheyenne Giles, Erik Diaz, FOMO, Murphy Kennedy, Will Hernandez, Aidin, DJ Byrd, and DJ C-Riz, and more.
October 27 – Backyard Barcade
Backyard Kitchen & Tap in Pacific Beach is dialed in this Halloween with their Backyard Barcade, a video game-themed night for those who prefer joysticks to Pixy Stix on Halloween. Aside from the nostalgic, gaming-inspired décor and downright lively atmosphere, guests can enjoy $6 shot specials, as well as a costume contest at 8 p.m. for Sexiest, Most Original and Best Group/Couple costumes.
October 27 – ‘Boos & Brews’ beer festival
Upper East Bar is hosting a ‘Boos & Brews’ beer festival this Saturday, October 27 from 12-5 p.m. For just $25 guests can drink unlimited beer from more than ten local brewers including Stone Brewing, Ale Smith and Maui Brewing among others. They will also have food specials including all-beef bacon wrapped hot dogs with nacho cheese and pickled jalapenos; and beer-braised bratwurst with sauerkraut, onion and whole grain mustard – both for just $8 each.

October 27 – Mall-O-Ween Monster Mash 

The weekend before Halloween, Hazard Center will host its Second Annual Mall-O-Ween Monster Mash – a spooktacular event brimming with family fun!

On Saturday, Oct. 27, 2-4 p.m., this kid-friendly jamboree will offer fun and frights for all ages and feature a costume contest, carnival games, arts and crafts, music, refreshments and more. All proceeds raised will benefit Angels Foster Family Network, a nonprofit dedicated to creating safe, stable and loving homes for infants and toddlers throughout San Diego County.

The costume contest is $10 and open to both children and families, who are encouraged to think outside the “BOO-x” to be entered to win scary-good prizes in three costume categories: Best Child Costume, Best Parent/Kid Duo and Most Creative. Delana Bennett from Star 94.1 will be the mischievous master of ceremonies. As Hazard Center goes ghoulish, attendees can delight in Halloween-themed carnival games, pumpkin decorating, apple cider and cookies, while Star 94.1 spins creepy classics like Michael Jackson’s “Thriller” and Stevie Wonder’s “Superstition.”

October 27 – Haunted Never-Never Land

Follow the “second star to the right and straight on till morning” to find The Smoking Gun’s Haunted Never-Never Land Halloween celebration, starting on 8pm on Saturday October 27th. Special themed food and drinks will be available throughout the night, all of which will be based off a creepy version of Peter Pan’s Never-Never Land Island. Dance to the beats of a live DJ and don’t forget to wear your costume for this Gaslamp District party!

October 27 – Night to Dismember

On October 27th, prepare for a Night to Dismember at Union Kitchen & Tap Encinitas, where they’ll host a prom-themed Halloween party brooding with spooky allure for those who love a good slasher film. Starting at 10 p.m. and featuring spiked punch plus a DJ spinning all night long, this is a party you won’t want to miss!

October 27-31 – Spooktacular Ramen

Creep into any of Tajima’s San Diego locations between October 27th and 31st to taste their Spooktacular Ramen! Made with black noodles, original vegetable-soy based broth, an Impossible Meat Patty (vegan with the aroma and taste of beef), baby spinach, arugula, cherry tomatoes and kabocha squash, this devilish dish is delicious. Tajima’s Mercury location is also getting in the spirit with their Witches Brew, a sweet and sour punch concocted with berries and citrus, spiked with rum and orange liqueurs.

October 28 – Party Under the Stars Halloween fête

Are you a sucker for Hollywood glitz and celebrity gossip? Head to Pacific Beach AleHouse on October 28th for their Party Under the Stars Halloween fête. Complete with $5 drink specials, glamorous décor, and a costume contest for the best-dressed Hollywood star, this celebrity shindig will brim with stardom. So, dust off your Grace Kelly garb and treat yourself to the night of fame you deserve!

October 28 – Magnificent Mystery Marketplace

Second Chance Beer Co. is celebrating the one-year anniversary of its North Park Beer Lounge and they’ve got a full line-up of spooky events to complement your Halloweekend. Join them on Sunday, October 28 for a Magnificent Mystery Marketplace featuring local vendors including The Potted Poppy, Prey and Profit, North Park Soap Co., and used vinyl (spinning and selling!) from Weekend Records. Both events will feature all-day Halloween Beer Flights which includes the following beers, Pumpkin Pi, Banana Runts Porter, Lemon Lime Sour Patch Kids Slightly Sour and Candied Apple Mulligan. October 28 – Halloween at the Station

In partnership with Liberty Station and the Arts District Liberty Station, enjoy this family-friendly Halloween celebration at Liberty Public Market and throughout the neighborhood. Little ghouls can trick-or-treat throughout the district while enjoying music, live entertainment, a pumpkin photo area, and other festive frights.

October 28 – Paws on the Patio: Hyatt Hound’s 3rd Birthday Party event

Details: Celebrate Halloween and a special birthday party with this holiday-inspired event at the Manchester Grand Hyatt’s signature restaurant, Sally’s Fish House & Bar, on Oct. 28 from 1-4 p.m. Expect a Halloween doggy costume contest with prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place and delight in yummy bites and drinks while benefiting a great cause. The event is in partnership with the Rancho Coastal Humane Society and will donate 20 percent of restaurant proceeds to the nonprofit. Happy hour with half-off appetizers and $6 draft beers, select wines and well cocktails will be available. Furry guests can even experience a true taste of San Diego’s popular craft beer scene with Your Best Buds Brew, offering special dog-friendly craft beer.

October 28 – Monster Mash

Dress the whole family up (witches and warlocks alike) for a spooky Sunday celebration this Halloween season at Corvette Diner’s Monster Mash on Sunday, October 28. Start the day with some trick-or-treating, enjoy ghoulishly good music from a ’50s Fright Night DJ, let the little ones go crazy with temporary tattoos and balloon animals, and be ready for a frighteningly fun Costume Contest at 2:00 p.m. where three lucky winners will win wicked prizes. The tricks and treats begin at 11:00 a.m. and no reservations are required.

October 28 – Halloween at The Village

Collect sweets and treats at The Village at Pacific Highlands Ranch alongside ghouls and goblins for a Trick or Treat event around the center on October 28 from 3-5pm. Roam the shops while listening to live music by Seed & Song at The Village Square, capture memories with complimentary photography by Keane Studios, and enter your or your child’s best Halloween costume photo from the evening for a chance to win the grand prize!

October 29 – Haunted House Spirits Halloween Pop-Up at Hundred Proof

Hundred Proof Presents a “Haunted House Spirits” Halloween pop up featuring Erin Hayes, Brooke Arthur and Andrew Calisterio of House Spirits Distillery from 8 PM to Midnight. Guests can sip a selection of creepy cocktails including a Spooky Old Fashioned featuring House Spirit’s Westward American single malt whiskey, vanilla rooibos syrup and baked apple bitters.

October 29 – Paw-loween Party

To get the celebration started early, check out Mavericks’ Paw-loween Party on October 29th! From 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. bring your pups for extended Yappy Hour specials, a doggy Halloween costume contest, $1 burgers and prizes compliments of PetSmart!  Mavericks will also be setting up an off-leash Dog Park for the event, and both pooches and humans are encouraged to come dressed up for this PAWsome event.

October 29 – Woodstock’s Halloween Movies Trivia Night

Do you own a black cat? Are you allergic to garlic? Most importantly, are you ready for the ultimate spooky trivia showdown? Woodstock’s Pizza in Pacific Beach is hosting a special Halloween-Themed Movie Trivia Night on Halloween at 8pm for trivia aficionados and horror fans alike. Grab a slice and a pint before settling into a spine-chilling trivia competition worthy of this spook-tacular evening. Fuel your Halloween fun with special deals on Frankenpies, half-and-half pizzas of your creation! Extra points will be awarded to teams in costumes.

October 29 – Pumpkin/Pineapple Carving

The Duck Dive is hosting an industry pumpkin/pineapple carving on October 29th and they’d like to invite SD industry friends to join the fun! Guests can bring either a pumpkin or pineapple to carve for the event and be ready to sip Halloween-themed cocktails! The cocktails are based off Beetlejuice, which The Duck Dive will also be showing during pumpkin carving. Dayoooooooh! Party kicks off at 9 p.m., but it might be wise to get there a little early to find a spot.

Try the Don’t Say the B Word, with Bacardi Cuatro, Campari, Crème de Cassis, orange, lemon and a red vine twirled around the straw. Another fun and festive cocktail is the I Too Am Strange and Unusual, made with Stillhouse Peach Tea, candy corn honey syrup, Aquafaba, lemon and cookies crumbled on top. Make your way to the bottom, where you’ll find a peach ring candy to enjoy!

October 29-31 – Murder Mystery Dinners

Put your investigative skills to the test this Halloween at one of Cloak & Petal’s spooky Murder Mystery Dinners! Taking place on October 29, 30 and 31, the event will be priced at $50 per person, and will include a chef-curated, prix-fixe menu, as well as a special punch bowl crafted for the occasion. Attendees are encouraged to dress as their favorite musical artist from any era, so be sure to dress to impress for this one-of-a-kind Halloween fête. Dinner themes include “Who Killed Biggie?” and “Who Killed Tupac?” so if you’re up to the task, select a theme and snag your ticket before they sell out!

October 31 – Hallow-Hour

BANKERS HILL BAR + Restaurant will celebrate Halloween with an all-new specialty cocktail, ‘Speak of the Devil,’ and an extended ‘Hallow-Hour’ on Wednesday, Oct. 31. ‘Speak of the Devil’ is made with dark rum, fresh lime juice, fresh grapefruit juice, Luxardo Maraschino liqueur, Orgeat syrup and activated charcoal, garnished with grapefruit peel and Luxardo Maraschino cherry. The cocktail will be available exclusively on Halloween evening, priced at $11.50. ‘Hallow-Hour’ will extend happy hour for one hour to 4:30 – 7 p.m. on Halloween evening.

October 31 – Primavera

Primavera Ristorante, has brewed up two specialty cocktails in celebration of Halloween: Eye Candy and Jack-O’-Fashioned. Created by bartender, Troy Bailey, the Eye Candy is made with Bulleit bourbon, St. Germain, fresh lemon, ginger beer and a float of bitters garnished with an edible ‘eyeball’ made with a blueberry-stuffed lychee. The Jack-O’-Fashioned, a seasonal twist on the classic Old Fashioned, is made with Maker’s Mark bourbon, Demerara and orange bitters, garnished with an orange wheel and lime zest fashioned to look like a pumpkin. Each drink will be available for $12 on Wednesday, Oct. 31.

October 31 – The Great Pumpkin Waffle

It’s The Great Pumpkin Waffle, Charlie Brown! Cafe 222 will celebrate Halloween “Peanuts” style with The Great Pumpkin Waffle on Wednesday, Oct. 31. The Great Pumpkin Waffle, priced at $10.75, is made with a signature spice blend of brown sugar, cinnamon, ground ginger and ground cloves, then topped with toasted pecans and fresh whipped cream.

October 31 – Murder Mystery Devil’s Exchange Dinner 

For its October Devil’s Exchange Dinner, Kettner Exchange and Devil’s Dozen will present a special “Murder Mystery” dining experience in collaboration with Murder Mystery Co. San Diego. The dinner will include five courses prepared by Chef de Cuisine Nick DeVries with beverage pairings by Beverage Director Steven Tuttle. Culinary offerings include Halloween-featured dishes such as Zom-baos with Tenderbelly pork, coleslaw and crispy onion; spooky Rat Tails – a Maine lobster dish topped with wild mushrooms; and the “It’s the Great Pumpkin” main course with braised short rib and roasted root vegetables. End the meal on a sweet note with the Haunted Graveyard, a chocolate, pumpkin and caramel delight.

October 31 – Scary Movie Trivia

Do you ‘vant’ to test your knowledge of scary movies? Enjoy a more low-key Halloween with scary movie trivia night at Bootlegger in San Diego’s East Village neighborhood on Wednesday, October 31. Starting at 8 p.m. enjoy Halloween/scary movie trivia and ‘Whiskey Wednesday’ drink specials including $5 Westward shots and $6 Westward Old Fashioned, Mules + Murphys.

October 31 – Halloween movies at Park 101

Looking for somewhere that both kids and adults will be entertained this Halloween? Search no further than Carlsbad’s Park 101, who will be showing Halloween movies including the kid-friendly Casper at 6:00 p.m. and Beetlejuice directly after.

October 31 – Fairy Tales at barleymash

We all remember hearing fairy tales like Little Red Riding Hood and Jack and Jill growing up, but this Halloween barleymash is putting a twist on these classics! Head to the Gaslamp District to relive your favorite childhood stories…except with a different ending. Will Little Red Riding Hood escape the wolf?
