Don't Miss: inBloom at Flower Hill Promenade

Del Mar’s Flower Hill Promenade just launched a new specialty event series called inBloom, a vibrant project two years in the making. From Saturday, May 6 through Sunday, May 28, vibrant floral displays and playful, bright additions adorn the center, while events and workshops will be led by local artisans and Flower Hill merchants. Additionally, inBloom’s Playhouse Palooza initiative will introduce to the promenade five life-size discovery playhouses for kids created by local construction companies and architects.
InBloom was created by San Diego real estate developer and Managing Partner of Flower Hill Promenade, Jeffrey Essakow in conjunction with Siena Randall and Leslie Randall of R&R Enterprises. The event is inspired by the the desire to develop community and create memorable experiences while bringing awareness to its mix of local independent and national merchants.  “Flower Hill Promenade isn’t just a shopping center, it’s a lifestyle destination designed to cater to the everyday needs of our customers,” said Essakow. “Small business is vital for a healthy economy; I want our local retailers to thrive. Our vision for inBloom is to provide new and memorable ways to eat, play, shop, learn and connect with one another, while supporting some of our city’s most remarkable businesses and entrepreneurs. Over the past two years, the center has enlisted top landscape artists and garden experts who will be helping to adorn the center with unique floral displays including director of operations at San Diego Botanic Garden, Pat Hammer; the Los Angeles-based creative director of Paradiso Parade Floats, Charles Meier; and designers from local company, BrightView Landscape.  The inBloom website (experienceinbloom.com) features a calendar which lists more than 100 dynamic experiences including: ·         Floral design (arrangements with BloomBabes and Infinite Succulents; garden workshops with TV Personality Shirley Bovshow, etc.) ·         Kids activities (inBloom Playhouse Palooza; live interactive butterfly exhibit, cooking classes with The Spice Way, floral hair-dos by Pigtails & Crewcuts, arts and crafts at Geppetto’s Toys, etc.)·         Family events (Mother’s Day tea party and mommy & me yoga classes with If I Was a Bird; movies under the stars, herb gardening with Urban Plantations, etc.)·         Culinary and cocktails (plant-infused mixology; fresh flowers and cheese at Venissimo; edible gardening with Urban Plantations; herb-infused tea brewing with The Spice Way) ·         Fashion fêtes and design (Wildflower and Enchanted Forest Fashion Shows created by Irina Rachow of Dark Horse Designs showcasing the many specialty Flower Hill boutiques, plus succulent jewelry and flower crown making with Debra Prinzing)  For more details and a calendar of events, visit experienceinbloom.com.   ABOUT FLOWER HILL PROMENADEFlower Hill Promenade is Del Mar’s premiere, open-air shopping and lifestyle destination – brimming with an eclectic collection of stylish retail boutiques mixing independent and national brands, and home décor shops, health and beauty services, restaurants, fitness studios and more.  ABOUT INBLOOMCome celebrate the vibrancy and excitement of spring with inBloom, a month-long series of specialty events at Flower Hill Promenade from May 6-May 28, 2017.
