Dining with Dad: Where to Celebrate Father’s Day in San Diego

They say the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach, and dads across San Diego would agree. As Father’s Day approaches on Sunday, June 17th, a few of our city’s favorite restaurants are serving up protein-centric courses and pouring something special to treat all dads to the delicious day they deserve!

Toast to dad this Father’s Day with the “Rad Dad Dinner” at Nason’s Beer Hall downtown on June 17 from 3pm – 10pm. This ultimate man-friendly dinner includes a Nason’s pretzel, T-bone steak and beer pairing that is sure satisfy all dads. Raise your glass to dad at Seasons Restaurant with the following dining offerings curate by the newly appointed Chef de Cuisine James Waters:

  • Hops with Pops (Saturday, June 16, 2- 3 p.m.): Bring dad to the Chef’s Table for an hour of beer tasting and pretzel making! Kids under 21 can enjoy a tasty root beer while grownups enjoy the real stuff, all while rolling and twisting together to create tasty, freshly made pretzels. The class costs $35 per adult and $15 per child and includes an apron and one pint of craft (or root) beer.

  • Tableside Whiskey Wagon (Sunday, June 17): Loaded with the best in whiskey, bourbon and scotch, Seasons’ Whisky Wagon will make the rounds during brunch at 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. and dinner from 5 – 9 p.m. Dads can select a preferred size ice cube, pick his favorite libation, sip back and savor!

Located on the sparkling waters of Mission Bay – locals can treat dad to a waterfront brunch at Tidal this Father’s Day. As a special treat for Father’s Day this year, fine fast casual Urban Plates is thrilled to announce they will be returning their cult-classic Habanero Mango BBQ Ribs and Lamb Osso Bucco in celebration of dads all over the San Diego community.
