Thirsty Thursday: Dill Pickle Martini

For those living that pickle-back life (you know who you are), you can still get your fill without succumbing to the pumpkin spice craze that takes over this time of year. “Big dill energy” is in-season with Sammy’s Woodfired Pizza & Grill’s Dill Pickle Martini, so surprise your guests during the holidays with a new kind of fireside libation – this ain’t your grandmother’s eggnog. Check out the recipe provided below!

Dill Pickle Martini

INGREDIENTS:
2 oz. gin
1 oz. pickle juice
½ oz. simple syrup
1 1 ½-inch pickle
¾  oz. of lime juice
Salt for rim

DIRECTIONS:

  1. Add ice to martini glass, top with soda water (to chill)
  2. Add ½ ounce of simple syrup into tin
  3. Muddle pickle
  4. Add ¾ ounce of lime juice into tin
  5. Add 1 ounce of pickle juice into tin
  6. Add 2 ounces of gin into tin
  7. Add ice and shake thoroughly
  8. Dump ice and soda water out of martini glass
  9. Rim the glass with salt
  10. Double strain the mixture from tin into martini glass
