Man Cave Dry Rub Wings Recipe for Super Bowl Sunday

Super Bowl Sunday is around the corner which means it’s time to get the deep fryers going and the BBQ grills lit. The most common food dish you will find on the table for Super Bowl is wings (and lots of them). Turn up the heat this year by making some of the best wings inspired by San Diego’s local favorite, Woodstock’s Pizza to kick off your Super Bowl Sunday get together for the wings that will make you scream, “touchdown”!  With locations in Pacific Beach and San Diego, Woodstock’s Pizza has melted the hearts of the community for years with their delicious food and charitable nature. Woodstock’s offers their Man Cave Wings where you get to choose flavors between Smokin’ Dry Rub, Spicy Buffalo, or Honey BBQ. The wings are also served with ranch, bleu cheese, honey mustard or creamy sriracha. These wings are a healthier alternative to fried wings, and require a triple baking process to create a crispy texture on the outside, while maintaining juiciness on the inside. Instructions:

  • Start with pre-cooked chicken wings
  • Create Custom Dry Rub by combining:
    • Sugar
    • Salt
    • Smoked paprika
    • Garlic
    • Chili pepper
    • Dried minced onion
    • Parsley
    • Canola oil
    • Dried minced green onion
    • Turmeric
  • Place all ingredients in sealable container, add chicken wings and shake together until all wings are generously coated
  • Place on wire rack over baking sheet and cook in pre-heated 400-degree oven for 7 minutes
  • These can be kept under refrigeration until needed, at which point they should be cooked for another 7 minutes at 400 degrees
  • Serve warm with your choice of dipping sauces.
