By February 10, 2021 No Comments

Mardi Gras, also known as Fat Tuesday, falls on February 16th and if you’re looking for a place to celebrate safely in San Diego, look no further than these top spots offering special dishes and cocktails:

The Gaslamp Quarter’s barleymash will be “Laissez Les Bons Temps Rouler” (letting the good times roll) with their themed drinks and specialty dishes! Stop in to enjoy a Hurricane, iconic Sazerac, or Milk Punch, and pair with the specially made Muffuletta Sandwich or Gumbo. A Muffuletta sando typically consists of meats, cheeses, and olive salad, served on a round loaf Italian bread. Barleymash currently offers outdoor patio and parklet seating and is open from Noon to 10:00 pm.

Celebrate Fat Tuesday with The Smoking Gun’s Andouille Sausage and Crawfish Jambalaya special! To kick off the festivities, the Gaslamp restaurant and bar will also be offering deals on New Orleans classic drinks throughout the day. The Smoking Gun is open from 3:00 pm – 10:00 pm, and the special Mardi Gras dish will be available for as long as supplied last. Order for dine-in on the extended patio, or for takeout via The Smoking Gun’s website.
